Here’s a little lap quilt I pieced together from scraps- mostly neutrals with some mellow greens in the mix, and… owls! The large format pattern meant this came together in a jiffy, so I spent the extra time fiddling with some patterned straight-stitch quilting. Fiddling is the proper term, since these stripes are none too precise. It was fun to experiment with neutrals and always satisfying to compete a project from the scraps bin.
Simple backing of odd-sized fabric strips. Linking up for a long overdue Friday finish at Crazy Mom Quilts. (Long overdue on blog posts, not so much on finishes alas.)
I hope it will make a nice casual porch quilt for its new owners.
