Mom-to-be’s nursery hints included: green, foxes, birch trees, and until recently, boy or girl. Who knew shopping for foxy fabric would be so easy and adorable, well maybe you already knew that. Foxes are pretty hip I guess. Mustachioed and bespectacled, even. I sewed this little baby quilt using nine patch half square triangle blocks, assembled in a tic-tac-toe arrangement of green and grey. Finished quilt is roughly 50″ square.
My fabric purchasing was a bit over zealous for this project, so I sewed up a little quilty wall hanging to match. There are still plenty of leftovers for the scrap basket and future critter quilts.
Bonus: baby shower action shot of mommy admiring her new quilt!
Linking up to Crazy Mom Quilts for a Friday finish.
I love this quilt, what a wonderful gift!
Such a cute quilt and the wall hanging will highlight the whole room. Sure the Mom was delighted. Love the foxes.
Green, foxes and birch trees – you hit the mark, I think. Well done!
